Nikolaos Apostolopoulos is an Assistant Professor in European Policies in Sustainability, Development and Entrepreneurship at the University of Peloponnese and Director of the Laboratory of European Sustainable Development Policies. He also acts as a Scientific Advisor at the Labour Institute of the General Confederation of Greek Employees (INE-GSEE). He has participated in more than 15 funding initiatives of the European Union. Among these initiatives, he was co-author of a report on the impact of the Europe 2020 strategy on the Greek economy funded by the EU Structural Funds. He is a co-author of a handbook focusing on Social Entrepreneurship in Europe and co-editor in a collective volume on Entrepreneurship and the Sustainable Development Goals. Furthermore, his research publications focus on entrepreneurship and sustainability. He has published in leading journal such as the Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Rural Studies, Corporate Governance: The International Journal of Business in Society, Economic and Business Letters, Sustainability, Energies. He is also a co-guest editor of a special issue entitled “Entrepreneurship and the European Union policies after 60 years of common European vision: regional and spatial perspectives” launched by the Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship. Moreover, he is a key researcher of a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence on Governance at the University of Peloponnese. He has published numerous articles in leading academic journals. He is co-editor of 3 edited volumes and co-author of 4 books.

Alexandros Kakouris is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management Science and Technology at the University of the Peloponnese. He possesses a PhD in Physics (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), an MSc in Adult Education (Hellenic Open University) and a second PhD in Entrepreneurship (University of the Peloponnese). He has taught entrepreneurship and innovation at Greek universities (ASPAITE, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, University of the Peloponnese, Hellenic Open University) and as a visiting professor (University of Žilina, Slovakia, University Koblenz-Landau, Germany, Neapolis University Pafos, Cyprus). He has received funding from the American Embassy in Athens for the TeleCC initiative which provided tele-education in entrepreneurship. He has participated in the scientific committees of more than 20 international conferences, has edited two conference proceedings, has co-edited five special issues of scientific journals and has also co-edited one collective volume. He has authored five textbooks in Greek language and more than 60 articles and chapters in research journals, collective volumes and conferences. He is also on the editorial board of International Journal of Management Education of Elsevier. In the past, he has been an IKY fellow (doctoral and postdoctoral) and also a postdoctoral researcher in the Netherlands.

Panagiotis Liargovas is Professor in the Department of Management Science and Technology of the University of Peloponnese. Previously (for fifteen years) he was Professor in the Department of Economics of the Univerisity of Pelponnese. He is currently the Academic Coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module in Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Activity in the European Union/EU4ACT. He holds the Jean Monnet Chair on EU Integration and Policies (2012-15). He was Academic Coordinator in the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence on Governance (2016-2019). His research agenda is highly interdisciplinary, combining economics, banking and finance, social issues and management and focuses mainly on two regions: European Union and Southeast Europe (including Greece). His specialization on these issues and regions is manifested in several peer-reviewed publications (books, articles, research reports and conference papers) but also in extensive and continuous teaching. He has a long record of advising governmental institutions on public policy. He has been the Scientific Co-coordinator in 15 research projects financed by the European Commission or by the OECD and/or by the Government of Greece. He has also served as an Evaluator of scientific proposals for D.G. XIII, Science, Research and Development, as well as for DG HOME, Brussels. He has significant administrative experience. He was the Director of the National School of Public Administration (2004-2005) and Head of the Parliamentary Budget Office in the Greek Parliament (2012-2018). He is currently Chair of the Board and Scientific Director of the Center of Planning and Economic research (KEPE) the largest and oldest (established in 1959) economics research Centre in Greece. He is also the Chair of the Greek Productivity Board. He is the author of two well-known books in Greek academia and Society entitled “Ten Years of Crisis, three memoranda and a Pandemic. Greece for a way out“ first published in 2020 and “The European Phenomenon” (pp. 800), 3rd edition 2021, first published in in 2017.
